PRIVATE PILOT REQUIREMENTS
There are several requirements you will need to satisfy before you can earn your Private Pilot’s certificate.
CHI Aerospace can help you achieve all of them and ensure you’re ready – and able – to take off and enjoy your time in the sky. Below are the requirements needed to complete the certificate.

You must be 16 years old for solo flights, and 17 to achieve the certificate (training can begin at a younger age, but we recommend not starting until at least 12)

You must complete a minimum of 40 hours of flight training

You must pass a FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Test

You must have at least a 3rd Class Medical for solo flights

You must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Be 17 Years Old
You must be 16 years old for solo flights, and 17 years old to achieve this certificate.
40 Hours of Flight Training
You must complete a minimum of 40 hours of flight training.
Hold a 3rd Class Medical
You must have at least a valid 3rd Class Medical Certificate for solo flights.
Read, Write, Speak, and Understand English
You must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Pass the FAA Knowledge Written Exam
You must pass the FAA Sport Pilot Knowledge Written Test.
